Saving The Planet By Spreading Awareness
SAVING THE PLANET BY SPREADING AWARENESS
Climate change, melting of ice-glaciers, flash floods, depletion of the ozone layer and greenhouse effect make headlines around the world every day. It is more necessary than important to make ourselves aware of this situation. Taking this thought forward, our students from the Second- Year CEC-A&B and MEC gave out an educative presentation on the issue and facilitated an interactive session on the topic, Pollution.

With festivities in the air students of St. Mary’s Junior College celebrated an ‘Ethnic Day in utmost pomp and glory. This day is a way of celebrating and sharing our traditions.
As the college is home to students from diverse cultural backgrounds, events like the Ethnic Day inculcate a sense of oneness among the students. With students enthusiastically clad in traditional attires the campus was beamed with colours.
As an organization with deep-rooted values, the core message of the celebration was to respect every culture and its tradition and to remain connected with our roots.
Intramurals
“This year’s Intramurals at St. Mary’s Junior College, Jubilee Hills hosted various competitions like Essay writing, Elocution, Debate, Quiz, Spell bee, Singing, Dance, Mehendi, Hair Style, Photography, Short film making, Flower arrangement, Drawing etc.

The Department of Economics at St. Mary’s Juinor College, Jubilee Hills gives the seniors a chance to teach the first-years for a day.
Not only the learners loved the session by their seniors, but they also demanded this to be a regular practice.

Awareness on obesity
EAT WELL, BE WELL.
Our science students organized an awareness campaign on obesity in the month of July 2019 at St. Mary’s Junior College, Jubilee Hills.
The exhibition campaign showcased well-illustrated charts depicting the causes and treatment of obesity, the ill-effects of junk food and the importance of a balanced diet and healthy BMI. The students set up a health check-up camp where they calculated the BMI of staff as well as students and distributed awareness pamphlets.
